Winter Floral Design Class with Soulflower

Emily Dreblow with Soulflower Floral Design is a wonderful designer here in San Francisco, and is offering a winter floral decorating class to a very small number of participants.  This class sounds like so much fun, especially for those looking to fine tune their floral design skills just in time to decorate your holiday table!    She also will be offering wedding floral design classes in the spring, so make sure to get on her mailing list to pre-register for those, as they will book up quickly!

Design Studio & 6th Anniversary Party | July 8

A few weeks ago, the Dream A Little Dream Events staff all came together to celebrate not only our 6th anniversary, but also the opening of our new design studio!  The girls all loved seeing it, and we had a great night chatting about our past and upcoming weddings.  Some of our day of assistants never get to see each other, as they work different events with Michelle, Brittani and I, so it was nice for everyone to make connections.  We even had support from Andrew Weeks, our suite mate, and his wife and son, my boyfriend and son, and Michelle's husband.

We have such an incredible team, and I feel truly blessed to have a staff that cares as much for my business as I do!  Below are some photos taken by me, so I apologize for them not being up to par, but wanted to share them anyway.  Enjoy!

This bridal show is a lot of fun, as I went last year with one my clients, and we had a great time. From the vendor showcase to the fashion show, it was a top notch affair. The Union Street Bridal Walk | July 12

The Union Street Bridal Walk is taking place in San Francisco on Sunday July 12 from 1-4pm. This is a great street filled with many wedding vendors, including invitation makers, florists, beauty salons, jewelers, bridemaid gowns, photographers and more. It is a nice casual way to see and meet many vendors all in one area without going to an overwhleming bridal show.

Promises & Pearls Event | July 8

This is a great event for all you brides and grooms out there! It is put on my one of my good friends in the industry, Michelle with MB Wedding Designs. Think of it as a smaller and more distinct bridal show. These vendors are invited to be there, she does not just let anyone showcase at her event. Cornerstone Gardens Party | June 2

Brittani and I got to attend a great event this past Tuesday night at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. It was a country themed party, and they really did a great job getting everyone involved in the fun and doing a little "do si do'ing." There were small plates provided by Sage Catering, cake bites by Inticing Creations and rentals by Classic Party Rentals. It was nice to see the new look of Cornerstone, and mingle with fellow wedding and event planners. We had a great time, and I even learned how to line dance. For those who know me, that is a hard feat considering I'm not a country girl at all. Here are some photos:

We had a really fun time! Cornerstone is a great spot for private events and weddings, as you get use of multiple areas to create different vignettes for the different stages of your event. Even if you are just traveling through the wine country, definitely check them out, there is a lot of fun things to see, and now Sage has a cafe there.

Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe Party

Wednesday night was a busy night, we had the Knot Networking event, but before we could get there, we stopped by the lavish event that was being put on by the new Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe at Jardiniere. What a lovely restaurant, and the food was outstanding. It was a top notch affaire with snacks to nosh on like mini sliders, artichoke crostinis and mini croque monsieur's and bubbles a plenty. Brittani and I had a great time, and we were able to meet and talk with Rolly from the new Ritz set to open in Dec 2009. Can't wait to check it out when they open!

The Knot Networking Event

Every year The Knot Northern California puts on these great events for advertisers and vendors in the wedding and event industry. The venue they chose for this one was The Galleria at the San Francisco Design Center. What an amazing space! This was such a great event, not only because Michelle from MB Wedding Designs was the event planner, but they also had such a great turnout. It was great, as always, to meet new vendors and connect with old friends. It is a time to let loose, talk shop, and be able to enjoy an event from a "guest" point of view for a change. Brittani, my associate and I had a great time, and here are just a few pictures from the night.
