Custom Jones Soda Bottles

We had so much fun on our bridal tour yesterday, and I'm getting ready to post a review of our day and a very limited amount of pictures, since I wasn't very good at keeping up with that. Oops!

In the mean time, we did these recently for a wedding, and I thought it was a really fun idea that I would share. You can make your own custom Jones sodas for your non alcoholic drinks through myJones now. They look really nice in galvanized buckets to welcome guests to a ceremony on a hot day, behind the bar for the reception or even in your out of town gift bags. They have a lot of choices available, and they are great for all events.

Place Card Idea - River Stones

I had done this idea about a year and a half ago at a showcase at the Hotel Vitale, and I just loved it! I even love it more that brides are actually coming to me to do their calligraphy on river stones just like the photo. I've recently done three calligraphy jobs this way, and they all have been very happy with the casual yet unique look of the stones at each place setting. The key with this style is to make sure that you have a table designation by either a list printed nicely on a large easle or by escort cards outside the dining area. The stones are typically too small for full names, so we usually can only do first names. The rocks I did even had meal signs on them for the caterers, very cool!

DIY Brides - Check out this site!

Some of my clients are pretty creative, and sometimes they like to use their talents to create their own invitations, place cards, programs, etc. My good friend Nessa Sander, who owns Cardgirl Custom Invitations, just released a wonderful site for the DIY brides out there called Cardgirl DIY. There is just so much information, templates, and links to sites to help you get the supplies you need. I'm telling all my current clients about it, as I just used it last week to make my own wine labels. What a great resource and saved me a ton of time!

For those of you that want someone else to be the creative engineer for your wedding paper goods, definitely check out Nessa's site for custom invitations and other materials for your wedding. She can customize anything, and has made many of my clients very happy!

I have been working like crazy, October is our busiest month this year, but I'm hoping to post some more recent weddings here soon. They were all so beautiful and unique, so I'm anxiously awaiting the photos to share with everyone. We are also busy planning our second bridal tour set for January, an open house and all the weddings and events coming up for 2009. Should be another fun filled year with lots of fabulous weddings!

Happy Planning,
Kathryn
