Biz Advice | The Simple Plan

This past November I flew to Seattle with one of my wedding planner colleagues, Michelle Barrionuevo, to attend The Simple Plan. It was such a great experience, not only to re-evaluate my five year old business, but to make new connections with other great industry vendors. I came back from that two day seminar with a better outlook on my business goals and plans and with a new group of friends!

I highly recommend this seminar for anyone in the industry, or for those looking to start their own business in the wedding and event field. It is priceless to be able to walk away with a plan that you can always refer to, and was written with so much thought. If you saw my first business plan... well, let's just say it was embarrassing to look back at it.

Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for posting this reminder about the benefits of having a written business plan. I agree 100% -- without a clear ambition, and a plan for getting there, we're sure to wind up SOMEWHERE, but perhaps not where we're hoping for right now. In addition, I find it's useful to regularly review and "fine-tune" my plan, so I'll be attending this session next month -- perhaps see you there!
